Join the Fight against Extreme Poverty and Preventable Disease
June 15, 2010
The first ever social arts program whose profits went 100% to charity concluded this past weekend as an outstanding success! We more than met our initial fundraising goal, and it was a great honor and pleasure to have met and worked with all the participants in the Master Your Social Power program. And I again thank them for helping to make poverty a relic of the past. For more details on the program, go here.
The proceeds went to One Singapore, which is dedicated to raising public awareness and taking concrete actions to make poverty history. It was a joy working with them and their broad-minded, fun-loving, and super sharp committee members, who made sure that everything went smoothly. If you are outside Singapore, you can also learn more about One Foundation International here.
Again, thank you to all who helped make this program and event a resounding success!

Got something to say?

Hi David,
Thank you for your insightful, inspirational and brilliant blog that you have been keeping up. It is very enlightening to read many of your posts, and to realize that the world is what we make of it. I especially enjoy the New Paper Article on 13 Oct 2008, the crux of which in your words is “You have all these dreams you keep talking about. Start living them now.” This is having a strong impact on my life and the way I view things now.
More brilliant is the way you bounced back (Reminescent of going against the odds like Micheal Jordan did in his 97 game with Utah Jass when he played with a serious flu) from the past to what you are now. Inspirational, as is your physical transformation from normal to great. If given a choice it is possible to choose to lead a better life, just that many of us are trying to find out how. David Thoreau once said “Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.” I hope it will apply to some men instead of most by the time you are through with your work. Kudos to you and your work and for everything you have done/inspired.

Hey Alan,
Wow, thanks for the super nice compliments, dude! Way to apply Carnegie’s cardinal principles, haha
I’m honored and flattered that I can serve as an inspiration to you. I just try to do what I can. Everything you’ve said is extraordinarily encouraging. Thank you.
The best is yet to come!
