My Final Weekend in Beijing!

June 6, 2008

The exclamation mark in the title is not to express excitement. I’m going to really miss Beijing, especially my girls and my buddies here. But it’s time to move on… at least for several months. I’ll be in North America for a while and then moving to Singapore after that.

How am I going to close out my last weekend in Beijing, you ask? Well, I’m not even going to be in town. I’ve agreed to teach just one more bootcamp before I leave the country. I guess that’s as good a way to conclude things here as any.

I’ll still have the week to party!

Happy playin’, The Asian Rake.

PS. Look out for some major changes to this site in the coming months…

May I ask which game-related fora would you recommend for perusing? There are hidden treasures on each and I feel like I’m missing out..

    Thanks and good luck!

    Hey Thoseguns,
I’m currently rethinking my philosophy on writing LRs. I’ll write it about it soon. In the meantime, I’ll be sure to have content you’ll like.

    Bouncy,
Thanks a lot for that super interesting article!

Are you asking about “game-related” online forums, like mASF?

    Cheers, The Asian Rake.

    Hi Asianrake,
You have a great website. Very helpful and insightful. Are you ever in NYC? I am a personal trainer here in the city. If you ever want to hang out here let me know, Steve

“Are you asking about “game-related” online forums, like mASF?”

Yes. I’m home on CarpePM (now run by Johnny Soporno) and at the London Seduction Society forum. I’ve also picked out the best posts from the Love Systems’ forum and the new Badboy’s forum on direct game.

Is there anything else worth looking at?

Perhaps you might like to write an article about what to read etc. The skill of having access to perfect information is invaluable today..

I see your suggestions in the “essential reading” box and can only nod in agreement.

    Hey AsianRake,

always great to read your blogs… anyway, welcome to sunny Singapore in the future…

as for LRs, i guess I personally would like to read more about the dynamics… but any details would be excellent.. :)

    Hey Steve,
Yes, I’m going to be in NYC, as you can see in the next post :-)
    Bouncy,
Those are good places to start. I’ve been considering putting up an article as a kind of “state of the field/industry,” guiding guys through the major levels and styles in the community. I’ll get to that soon.

    Black Onyx,
I’ll write more about my views on writing LRs. What do you mean by “dynamics”? You mean the social dynamics?

    Cheers, The Asian Rake.

    Hey Asianrake,

i’m referring to the social dynamics or interactions and your mindset… more of like understanding “what are u thinking about? What can you see?” during the LRs or FRs….

i dun want a fish, i wan to learn how to fish… :)

Just discovered your site, just as youre leaving the city..

anyway just curious, i know a bit about PUA culture and acknowledge all the techniques and systematic processes to achieve the goal, but sometimes doesnt it get a bit monotonous?.

Ive had my share of flings and find sometimes its so empty, Im looking for that special one ( yes im a foolish romantic) something about PU takes away the magic of it all when youre all about the game, then all you are is the game?

    it is intrguing nonetheless.

    just some thoughts

    best

It’s cool how this little tiny post keeps generating comments.

    Hey Anonymous,
Have a look at my earlier post “Being Unselfconscious as a Way of Life” in the Top Posts section. I’ve also written one about Falling in Love in the archives for summer 07.

I’d guess that what you now about “PU” isn’t what I’d support. Once you’ve internalized the right things, it’s not about “game” anymore. It’s just about being.

    Best, The Asian Rake.

Got something to say?
